Wacky
This game is just so wacky, through and through. There are so many silly things all throughout the game, like the scream button:
When the game isn't just being a meme though, it's still pretty funny. I especially like the dialogue Annie has with some of the bosses.
Gameplay
The gameplay is really good. The controls are very quick and snappy, while providing a wide range of maneuverability. The levels are very well designed, and they have really unique themes. My favorite is maybe The Mad Mall since it's gimmicks lead to a very frantic vibe.
These title splash screens are so cool.
The game's pretty tough, in the process of writing this (even a little over a month after this post was initially supposed to release) I haven't 100%'ed the game yet, if I ever even do. One complaint I do have with the gameplay though is that I wish maintaining a Clutch Chain while going through enemies was more lenient, because with how it is at the moment, enemies tend to feel like they're limiting my speed which doesn't seem very in line with the fact that they're boosting me forward.
Etcetera
I don't have a ton to note about the music other than "yeah, it's good". The Happy Hour theme though is exceptionally hype though, which rules because it makes every Happy Hour hype. I also don't have a ton to note about the visuals, other than they're great, and I love how colorful everything is.
Lastly, I wanna note that I play the game with max screen shake and the photosensitivity setting off because I'm a freako like that. (The screen shake genuinely makes the game significantly more difficult, but it's so funny and adds so much to the chaotic vibe that I wanna keep it on. The photosensitivity setting is totally worth turning off though, the ending segment of Deviled Gardens does actually hurt to look at.)
