Introduction

Hey, I'm Popful Advantage, or at least, that's what I go by at the moment, and this is my blog. :D This is just a recreational way for me to express my thoughts on stuff (primarily video games) . I'm not trying to be super objectively about the things I discuss, so I would advise against taking my posts as such. I am to an extent trying to improve my writing skills through some of these blogs (to make up for years and years of not very educational middle and high school English classes) , but that's not really a main priority of mine. I'm a big fan of video games, primarily 2D platformers (examples include: Sonic The Hedgehog , Kirby's Return To Dreamland , and Pizza Tower ), fighting games (ex: BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle , Sonic Boom And The Smash Crew , and Kill La Kill IF ), and I like the Bomberman series (I don't know what genre Bomberman fits into, but even if I did, I haven't played enough games like the Bomberman to say I like the genre "in ...

Featuring April Grove and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie     April Grove Colorgrave   This is another game I likely would've never bothered with if I didn't become a Colorgrave fan, I generally find cozy games boring and tedious, but I was able to enjoy this. The game ain't didn't do anything crazy to get me to stick with it, it can totally be described as repetitive, but I enjoyed the vibe. It did help a lot with the repetition though when I realized a trick to swing my axe faster. The skill involved in trying to swing the axe as fast as possible actually got me trying too hard, I took occasional breaks because I was (in real life) wearing out my hands. The game in total took me 5-6 hours which felt like a good amount for me. There's not a lot of NPC interactions which was a little disappointing since I feel like this Colorgrave game would be best suited to them. There's a bit of a strange feeling that looms over the game, it doesn't poison the wholesome vi...

BandaiNamco.com | MHAAJ.net A couple months ago I wrote about this game's predecessor . I hoped this game would be more attuned to my taste, and I'd say it succeeded at that.

Featuring Iron Lung (Movie) and 2XKO     Iron Lung (Movie) IronLung.com   I was worried going into this that I wouldn't be able to take a movie starring Markiplier seriously, but thankfully I was able to enjoy it on a non-ironic level. I didn't enjoy the heavier emphasis on narrative compared to the original game, although none of it left me with a bad taste. My favorite part was definitely around the middle, when Simon (the main character) was just alone for like 20 minutes, there was a great monologue in there, but I mostly appreciated the quiet atmosphere. I think the quiet help build tension. I also appreciate pretty much the entire movie taking place within the submarine, you can tell that thing was dreadful for Simon, but it also kept the movie feeling very focused. 2XKO 2XKO.RiotGames.com   I've already talked about this much more extensively back when I played the Alpha Labs . In that previous post I expressed concern over the game potentially changing to a ...
