Super Mario Bros. Wonder

This was my first time ever 100%'ing a Mario platformer :)

Man, this is a pretty incredible video game. So many of the levels are an absolute blast to play. I guess there were a couple of moments here and there that I actively disliked, but they were relatively short and sparse moments.

I LOVE how the online multiplayer works. I'm genuinely impressed by it honestly. It's the epitomy of "It just works". There's not even like a "Connecting To Online Network" pop-up for you to wait through. You just turn a setting on once and boom, you get to play with people. 

It's a very well realized version of what some previous Nintendo games tried to do with Miiverse. It's nice getting to actually be there for people, and to have people be there for you.

I find it really odd that Yoshi and Nabbit don't get access to power-ups. I do like how differently Yoshi plays compared to the other characters though. Switching over to Yoshi was a pretty fun way to change things up from time to time. Since Yoshi can't use power-ups though, you have to switch over to other characters to get some of the collectables. It would've been nice to have been able to switch characters during the death screen.

I found the inclusion of Flower Coins to be odd. I don't really see a reason why you can't just use standard Coins in the shop. Unless you're struggling with the game and need every life you can get, the standard Coins end up being pointless. I mean pointless both figuratively and literally by the way. because the game completely lacks a points system, which I would be disappointed by, but Mario games have a pretty poor track record when it comes to their points systems.

One thing I found to be especially stupid was how the multiplayer race mode requires you to be connected to the internet. Thankfully you are able to race with players locally, but it still feels like a pretty arbitrary limitation.

It's also dumb how when playing local multiplayer, everyone has to equip the same badge.

None of those complaints though really hinder the game's amazing core. I would elaborate on what's so great about the game, but I'm too stupid.

I guess I'll mention the power-ups. The Elephant power-up is cool and epic The Bubble power-up is cool and epic. And the Drill power-up is kinda lame honestly.
