& Never Say Goodbye

I decided to check these out because I was curious to see if they were really "that bad", and it turns out, I don't think they're terrible. I actually found some respect for them even. I think the first one in particular does a pretty good job at depicting the sadness and frustration that comes with discussing and disagreeing over abortion.
While from my understanding, I Will Survive wasn't meant to be picking a side, but the scenario and I think favor Nick a little more than Judy, while Born To Be Alive seems to try way too hard to overcorrect on this, and it paints Nick in a much worse light than Judy.
Born To Be Alive is less about the abortion argument in general though, so it doesn't completely shoot itself in the foot. It does still muddy things up though.
My least favorite of the 3 comics is Never Say Goodbye, since it feels extremely disconnected from the first 2 comics, and it feels extremely unnecessary as a conclusion. It does leave the reader with a bit to think about when it comes to government security I guess(?), but overall it's mostly just a conclusion for comics that I didn't particularly care about the overarching story of.
To end on a high note though, I think the artwork in all 3 of the comics is extremely well done. It does a great job at keeping what is primarily just characters standing around and talking visually engaging to look at.
Overall, I didn't really like these comics, but I don't care to dunk on them just for being shocking.
I Will Survive (Arby's Edition)
(Note: This parody was not made by Borba, or at least I don't think it was.)

If you think the idea of Nick having an Arby's addiction replacing a discussion about abortion sounds funny, then go check this out.
I think it's a surprisingly funny parody.
