Not to say I was expecting the game to be shallow or whatever but, I was pleasantly surprised by how much mechanical depth this game has. Doing stuff like the Crazy Dash and the Limiter Cut is really fun.
The game in general just feels extremely satisfying and rewarding to play for a multitude of reasons. A multitude of reasons that I'm too lazy to properly elaborate on.
When it comes to the 2 maps, Arcade and Original, I prefer the Arcade map, primarily because the arrow at the top of the screen that points you towards destinations is pretty unreliable on the Original map. Oftentimes on the Original map, rather than pointing you towards roads that lead to your destination, the arrow will just point directly towards your destination, completely ignoring buildings that may be in the way.
One thing that was pretty problematic for me, but probably won't be for most other people, was how it wasn't compatible with a program I use called WiinUPro. WiinUPro is something I use to play PC games with a Wii U Pro controller, and whenever I'd try to use it on Crazy Taxi I'd just get constant inputs that'd make the menus a nightmare to navigate. That's not something I can really fault the game for however. Ultimately, I decided to just play on keyboard.
Lastly, while I got all of the achievements, I'd say I still have a lot to learn about the game. The best rank I've gotten so far is "S", while the highest rank "Crazy" requires 4 times the amount of points.
(Update: I'm fuckin' CRAZY!!! on both maps now)
