Street Fighter 6

I haven't actually beaten this game's story mode yet, but screw it, I'm putting it in this thread blog anyways.
I guess I'll start with the core gameplay. I love how the drive mechanics work. I think drive rush is cool and epic. I like how EX moves aren't tied to the super gauge. I think drive impact is cool and epic, even though I've had to spend a lot more time than I'd like labbing against it. I like how parry effectively works as a block everything button, while also making you extra vulnerable to grabs. I really like how chip damage is locked behind burnout, because it makes chip damage feel a lot more earned.
Something I really like in general about the game is how easy it is to utilize its mechanics. For example, when you perfect parry non-projectiles, you get a full goddamn second to react to the fact that you perfect parried.
Next, I wanna mention the online, because it's straight up the best online I've ever played in a fighting game. There's not much else for me to say about it. It has rollback, it works well, and there's crossplay. 👍 (Update: The ranked system is also the best I've ever played in a fighting game)
When it comes to modes stuff like Arcade and Combo Trials are definitely appreciated, although I don't have much to say about them.
Extreme Battle is really cool. I will say though that I think luck can have too much of a say as to who wins for my liking.
The most disappointing aspect of Street Fighter 6 for me personally was the World Tour mode. I got like 5 hours in before I just gave up, because I found it really boring. I found exploring Metro City to just be a really dull experience, and there's nothing to really do other than a couple of minigames, and a bunch of fighting. I think what really burnt me out on it though was just how long it takes to unlock moves and system mechanics. I get they probably wanted to slowly introduce mechanics so that newcomers could keep up, but man, fighting CPUs for hours on end is just really boring when you don't even have access to a full moveset.
From what I've seen online, the moveset customization doesn't even seem that particularly interesting. Sure it seems fun and all, but it's not enticing enough for me to actually wanna put up with World Tour.
